It’s Wednesday..
..so it’s what I wore
Geometric print tunic – Boden, black leggings – Topshop, classic short chestnut boots – Ugg, watch – Michael Kors
This is one of my favourite I’m-not-leaving-the-house outfits! The snow is still quite bad here so I’m (happily) housebound this week. We had some snow over the weekend but not that much then on Sunday night, it really came down and it doesn’t look to be leaving any time soon! Mr Mostly is working from home so he is taking care of the school run for me which is absolute BLISS! I am happy to ooh and ahh over the prettiness of the snow from behind my double glazed windows in my central heated house thankyouverymuch!
This Boden tunic isn’t new, in fact I can’t remember if I bought it last year or the year before. I love this print, so much so that I actually have a coat in the same pattern but a different colour. It is definitely tunic and not dress length though so I feel much ‘safer’ pairing it with leggings rather than tights. And of course leggings are much warmer too.
This is about as scruffy as I get. Love them or hate them (and I know most of you fall into the latter category) but I’m sorry, Ugg boots are the comfiest things EVER. I defy anyone to try them on and not love them. Mine don’t leave the house, strictly worn indoors as slippers I promise. I’m normally a bare foot girl but when it’s -7 outside like it is today, even I can’t resist the lure of toasty toes. And they really are very very toasty.
I must admit that I’m never going to be that girl who slobs around the house in holey joggy bottoms and a big old baggy sweatshirt, not that there is anything wrong with that of course but it’s just not me. Even if I’m not leaving the house, I will still straighten my hair and slap on a bit of make-up. I think when you are at home, it’s even more important to make a bit of an effort because it’s too easy not to. Finding those ten, maybe fifteen minutes every morning to make that small effort can do wonders for my self-esteem and I’m ready to face the day looking at least half human, even if nobody but the cat is around to admire my efforts. There is no question that it makes me feel more confident. You probably think I’m mad and terribly shallow (and I probably am) but that’s just me!
As ever, I’m linking up with Transatlantic Blonde’s What I Wore Wednesday linky. Do click on the badge below to see what everybody else is wearing this week – I know I will be!

Looking fab as always
Thanks Jen! x
I too am a bare foot girl….but in this wether the Uggs are a must indoors (i’m in agreement with you though – never to be seen further than taking rubbish out to the bin!)
Haha! A trip to the bin is as far as mine go too
Ach, I love Uggs in and out of the house!
On another note, I do love that tunic, wonder if they do something similar now…. x
I’m not sure but I bet they do. The new spring stuff looks gorgeous actually lots of bright colours!
Totally gorgeous!
Not even nearly but thank you Sarah! x
I’ve never owned a pair of Uggs but I’m slowly but surely coming round to them. They look so comfy.
Honestly, they are the comfiest thing I have ever ever EVER put on my feet
You are totally right about not slobbing it: That is a slippery slope (which unfortunately I have discovered).
Looking gorgeous, as always!
It’s so easily done when you’re at home with little ones though I think. It does take an effort to bother but I do think it’s worth it
Gorgeous tunic! I didn’t get a chance to schedule WIWW before I went down south and then I stayed up late drinking with Jax2000 Tuesday and didn’t get back home until after 9:30 on Wednesday so it never came together!
Oooh sounds like you had a fab time! I’m jealous
Loving it and after throwing away 2 pairs of Uggs (only thing I could wear on set for 12 hour days), I relented and bought some more in time for A’s arrival. They are useful and oh so comfy! Looking fabulous sweetie and agree about make up-Mum always says lipstick and blusher at the very least, makes you feel better about yourself!x
It’s amazing how much of a difference a bit of lipstick can make – your Mum is a wise woman
