It’s Wednesday..
..so it’s what I wore
Leila dress – Joules, navy tights – M&S, watch, Michael Kors, bespoke brogues – Upper Street
Nobody does floral patterns quite as well as Joules. Fact. I was sent the Leila dress in red to review last year and I loved it so much that when I spotted this blue version in the sale the other week, I just couldn’t resist. In fact, as it was reduced from £70 to £20 it would have been rude not to! I love the bright floral pattern and pretty elasticated empire line. The dress comes just above my knee which is perfect length for everyday wear. It is the small details on the Leila dress that make me love it though like the pretty three quarter length bell sleeves and the button placket on the back. But best of all, it has pockets. Two of them. Never underestimate the usefulness of pockets ladies! I love love LOVE this dress!
These shoes from Upper Street were a Christmas present with love from me to me and I still love them as much now as I did on the the day I designed them. I’m so glad that I went for the lower heel and I know how yawnsville that must sound BUT they are just so practical and it means I get to wear and enjoy them them all the time.

Thank you! x
Love the dress. Do you think it has enough give to cover a post-baby tummy? Looking for some ‘in-between’ dresses until I’ve managed to shift the weight.
Thank you! And yes definitely! It has an elasticated waist but it’s higher up so it’s almost empire line. It would actually be perfect as an in between dress
Brilliant. I’ll have a look on their website.
£20 – absolute bargain, I love Joules stuff!
