..so it’s what I wore
It was my birthday yesterday! Hoorah! Well, not really hoorah I don’t actually relish the fact that I’m another year older but making a pact
ten years ago that I will be forever 27 somewhat eases the pain. Ahem. I have to confess to being a bit of a misery guts when it comes to birthdays and yesterday felt like a particularly miserable day to have a birthday with it being the day that everyone went back to school and work. Harumpf. But actually I ended up having a really really lovely day. Mr Mostly booked me a surprise appointment at the hairdressers which was a lovely way to spend a morning. Especially given that my last appointment was cancelled due to nit paranoia. Oh the joys of living with small children and all of their little friends *shudder* So after a morning of pampering, Mr Mostly picked me and my swishy new hair up and we went for lunch then shopping to buy birthday presents for my son who will be sixteen tomorrow. SIXTEEN! Now that does make me feel old! Then in the evening family came over and there was The Biggest Chocolate Cake In The World. I had such a lovely day in my own quiet way and I was well and truly spoilt. I mean like seriously spoilt. Maybe birthdays aren’t so bad after all.
This gorgeous boucle jacket from Zara was actually one of my birthday presents from Mr Mostly. I knew I had to have it the minute I saw it and he bought it for me weeks ago but I was good and didn’t wear it until my actual birthday. I absolutely love it. I just kept it simple with a plain white tee and my Boden not-so-skinny-on-me-anymore jeans and my favourite old ballet flats from Upper Street. I suspect that this is an outfit that I will wear again and again and again.
So that was me, what have you been wearing this week?
