Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom

My little ones are huge fans of Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom (and it has to be said, so am I!) and we were lucky enough to be sent a preview of the new DVD that is due to be released on 27th September 2010.

For those of you who haven’t caught the programme on television, it is a BAFTA award winning pre-school series from the creators of Peppa Pig and it follows the adventures of Princess Holly and her best friend Ben Elf.

Holly is a fairy whose magic doesn’t always go to plan and they live in a tiny enchanted land where flowers and grass rise above the tallest of castles. Ben Elf doesn’t do magic but elves are very good at making things – especially toys! My little ones favourite character has to be Gaston the ladybird who is friends with Ben and Holly and barks like a dog. But my favourites have to be Holly’s naughty twin sisters Daisy and Poppy who get up to all sorts of mischief!

It really is the sweetest of programmes and if your little ones are anything like mine, they will love it and watch this time and again.

The debut DVD includes 11 episodes and will be hitting the shelves of all good retailers on Monday.

What great timing, that DVD would be a great stocking filler. We also love Ben and Holly, Wise Old Elf not so much :-)!
    Thanks for the post!

Ooh, that’s really good to know – think that might be going on Thing 2’s Christmas list! My girls absolutely love this programme – sadly we have to leave for school just before it finishes, so it causes arguments every morning!

Yay, we’ve got enough Peppa Pig DVDs in this house it’d be good to trying something different and she loves Ben and Holly. And 11 epeisodes. That pretty good actually considering they are around 10 mins each.
