Sacla’ have teamed up with rugby legend Lawrence Dallagio to produce a fabulous new family cookbook with recipes from three generations and I was sent a copy to review.
All the dishes are full of goodness, easy to prepare and use the very best ingredients. I found that My Italian Family Cookbook managed to combine the best ingredients with simple, wholesome family recipes. It celebrates the joy of cooking and sharing food as a family, which is of course right up my street. There are hundreds of recipes in there from speedy school night suppers to easy weekend food to share with friends. There are some fabulous stews and roasts for special occasions and of course no Italian cookbook would be complete without a whole chapter of mouthwatering desserts!
I loved this book and I know that I will go back to it time and time again. There are some really great recipes in there that I can’t wait to try out and as all cookbooks should be, it is a treat for the eyes too with really lavish photographs. And there are hints and tips littered throughout the recipes and I love the personal touch given by the family notes and pictures.
