A review and a giveaway!

Those of you who have following for a while will know that I potty trained my youngest daughter a couple of months ago with huge success and this was all thanks to My Carry Potty and a pair of maracas. I kid you not. There is video evidence right here in case you didn’t see it the first time around….

But having done it four times over, I do know how daunting potty training can be. The lovely people over at My Carry Potty have come up with a fabulous book called ‘George & Hollie and the Magic Carry Potties’ and I have a copy to give away to one lucky blog reader.

The book has a story to share with your little ones following George and Hollie as they take their first grown up steps of learning to use their own special potties. The story is full of magic and actually makes for really lovely little tale. Obviously enjoying the story will hopefully help when it comes to your little one taking the same big step and I think it would be a great way of introducing the idea of a potty.

The book also comes complete with a reward chart and stickers for when your little one starts their own potty training. There’s also some really helpful tips for parents too including watching for the signs that your child is ready to train, choosing a time that is best for you and your child to start using the potty, hints on rewarding potty training and training when you’re out and about.

It really is a fab book and would be so useful to any parent about to take on the challenge of potty training. To be in with a chance of getting your mitts on the book, all you have to do is leave me a comment here on the blog. Simple. No jumping through hoops, just a comment will do. I will then enrol the help of Miss Maraca to help me choose an entry at random by placing names in a hat because that’s about as technical as I get!

The giveaway will remain open to UK residents only (sorry the rest of the world!) until Friday 19th August 2011 and I’ll contact the lucky winner as soon as possible by email to obtain their address details so I can pop the book in the post. However, if no response is received within a week then a new winner will be selected.

Child number 1, a girl, was easy peasy, out of nappies by 1.5 yrs, even at night, thought no2, a boy would take just a little harder, being a boy, how wrong was I, just turned two and did 3 wee’s on the floor today – even the naugty step doesn’t work, he wee’d on that !!! I wonder if he will ever be potty trained, been doing this for about 9 months, your book would either confirm i’m in doing the right thing, or show me where i have gone wront, i’m sure….

Oh this looks fab, I am so nervous about potty training when Addison gets there as it is not going to be in Grayson’s future if at all so I got to push it to the back of mind. I loved your little girls video when you showed it 1st time round, it reminded me of potty training with my cousins.

Please enter me in the comp. xxxx

I have a 2.5 year old who is showing no interest in potty training yet, so would welcome any help I can get! So far, if we ask her if she’d like to wear big girl pants, she does a sad face and says no, she’s only a little girl. Might be a while off yet!
