Okay, so for those of you not in the know, the super lovely Blondie over at Transatlantic Blonde has come up with the idea of a fab new linky called What I Wore Wednesday. The idea couldn’t be simpler, just share any outfit from that week then grab the badge and join in with the linky over on her blog.
So here I am…
Tai Dress – LK Bennett
Black opaque tights – M&S
Darla black patent boots – LK Bennett
Sweetie bracelet – Links of London
I just looked at my last What I Wore Wednesday post and realised that not only is the whole dress and boots combo fast becoming my new uniform but so are the Autumnal berry shades but I just can’t resist. I bought this dress last week when I was supposed to be making a start on my Christmas shopping. I know I know – what can I say? I am weak! But it is in the most gorgeous wine colour and the fit was just perfect. This dress needed me in its life. Or maybe it was the other way around. But you get the idea! It’s made from drapey jersey material so it’s super comfortable and really flattering but the thick waistband gives me an amazing waist. I love dresses like this that can be dressed up or down although admittedly these days, I dress them down more than I dress them up. Just call me Cinderella! At least I am fabulously dressed as I sweep the floors! Ha!
I have to say that I think good old M&S have the best tights on the high street at the moment and I’m sure lovely Glasgow Mummy would agree with me too. These are just boring old opaques but I love them. I’ve been eyeing up some gorgeous wooly cable knit tights from there too (much nicer than I am making them sound, I promise!) which will no doubt be making an appearance in a future What I Wore Wednesday post.
The Darla boots are making another appearance but I did warn you here that I plan to wear nothing else this winter and I’m staying true to my word. I just love them. They look great but they are flat so they are just so comfortable and practical too. My days seem to be a never ending school and nursery run these days so hobbling around in heels just isn’t an option.
So that was me, I hope some of you will join in with the fun too. And don’t forget to click on the badge below to take a look at the other entries over at Transatlantic Blonde this week!
