Wigwam from playhouses.co.uk up for review

I know it’s probably not the time of year when you think as much about outdoor toys but I have to say that my little ones like to play out whatever the weather and I’m sure they’re not the only ones. I wrap them up and out they go. The old adage about getting them outside for fresh air every day is one that I have always stuck to and they can’t stand being cooped up inside all day long. I’m afraid that it’s me that feels the cold way before they do!

We were sent this fabulous Wigwam Play Tent from playhouses.co.ukΒ to review recently and of course the girls were far to impatient to wait for Daddy to get home to build it so I had to do it. I have to say that I usually leave anything that needs building to Daddy because quite frankly I am useless but thankfully for my impatient girls, it was really easy to put up. I was actually really pleasantly surprised.

It’s a traditional shaped wigwam with a flap door. The waterproof canvas seems to be of really good quality and it is decorated with bright colours and designs. It is beautifully made and obviously the fact that it’s easy to put up is a huge bonus. It would of course be fabulous for boys and girls alike and makes for a perfect den outdoors or of course indoors too.

The wigwam stands at approximately 190cm high so is really quite tall and it is recommended for ages 1 and above. Obviously this is a toy that you get years and years of play from and I would say that the quality of the tent means that I can see it standing the test of time. Priced at just Β£49.99 I would say that it’s fabulous value given just how much play you will get from this either outdoors or indeed indoors if you’re not as mad as us! The only thing I would say is that it would be handy if it came with a storage bag of some sort as I found it hard to fit it all back into the box again when we took it back down. But I don’t mean that in a negative way, just that it would be handy for ease of storage. This is just me being really fussy as of course it doesn’t take away from the fact that the wigwam is a fabulous toy. Overall, it gets a huge thumbs up from us!

Every kid loves a den and this is just perfect! Plus it’s not likely to fall down and collapse on you like the blanket dens of our childhood. Or was that just my mine that were rubbish?! πŸ˜‰
