Listography – Mugs

Photobucket When I saw that the theme for this weeks Listography over at Kate Takes 5 was mugs –  I just couldn’t resist joining in! I have a bit of a cup and mug habit you see. And going by the other entries already, I am certainly not on my own!

So, here goes. Kate showed us hers, now I’ll show you mine. Oh, but in no particular order of preference. I love them all equally and actually had trouble just choosing five!

Now this beauty was a Christmas present from my lovely Other Half. We did small and thoughtful this year and he couldn’t have got it more right with this gorgeous Cath Kidston mug. It is humongous and I love it!

Now this is my newest addition to my already too big collection but I spotted it in the gift shop at Fountains Abbey the other week and just couldn’t resist. It is quite dinky in size for a mug but is actually a perfect size to fit a latte macchiato which pleases me more than it probably should.

Oh how I love a mug and oh how I love Twitter! How perfect is this mug? My very own Twitter mug. This was a surprise Christmas present from the lovely Paul from over at When I Was A Kid and I absolutely love it!

Not officially a mug I suppose but I do love drinking from a proper cup and saucer. There is no doubt that everything tastes better out of a gorgeous cup. This is one of my favourite Cath Kidston prints and was one of the very first things that I bought for my new kitchen. It came in a set with a pink, green, yellow and blue one but the pink is my favourite, obviously!

There are times when only an espresso will hit the spot. This little beauty is for those such times. And of course it has my name on the side so there can be no confusion. I bought this years and years ago and love it to bits.

Now strictly speaking, I’ve shown you my five mugs and this of course isn’t even a mug, it’s a milk jug but I just couldn’t resist sharing. I absolutely love my little kitsch cow milk jug. Although my offspring insist that the cow looks like it is being sick when you pour the milk. Little darlings that they are….

Do pop over to Kate Takes 5 to see all of the other entries this week!

Lovely mugs! I too have the same obsession with mugs, we must have at least 100 of them and there’s only two of us in the house. Do love a cuppa though in a nice pretty mug

Oh gosh, I’m tempted to come round and steal your collection to add to my own. I think I would select all of those for myself. And blast from the past too … I did some filming at Fountains Abbey for my degree some 18 years ago. Never been back since but may head ‘up north’ when I’m back in the UK next. Really like your blog – I am a new follower 🙂

You have such a pretty collection of mugs, mine are all functional rather than pretty! I was trying to choose my favourite but I can’t, they are all lovely.

Love all those mugs, I’m a big Cath Kidston fan and have the oven glove of your pink cup and saucer, if you see what I mean – and I have a cow jug too!

Cath Kidson WITH strawberries …. it doesn’t get better than that!
