The Gallery – Light

I don’t often join in with The Gallery over at Sticky Fingers but when I saw the theme for this week, I knew straight away just which picture I wanted to share.

We have a bit of a family tradition of going out for a long walk on New Year’s Day and this year was no exception. It was a particularly cold day. The kind of cold that actually nips at your cheeks. But as we walked along, the sun started to break through the dull grey clouds and I happened to snap this on my phone before literally being dragged off to find the bear in the woods. There was no bear by the way. There never normally is. But this doesn’t make the possible sighting of a bear any less urgent of course. It wasn’t until we got back to the car much later that I realised just what a lovely photo I had managed to capture.

So that was my take on this weeks ‘light’ theme. Do hop over to Sticky Fingers to take a look at the rest of the entries this week.

Whenever I see this kind of view in the clouds I always think it looks like massive fingers reaching down and touching the earth.. don’t ask my why, just what I see

Super photo. I always think how you spend new years shows what sort of year you will have. Looks like a good one judging by this photo.
