Happy Easter from Hotel Chocolat

No matter who you need to buy for this Easter, or even if you’re thinking of treating yourself (and why not?!) I think you might just find the perfect gift over at Hotel Chocolat. As you would expect, they have an amazing selection of Easter eggs and I was lucky enough to be sent one of their renowned Extra Thick Chocolate Eggs and it did not disappoint!

You Crack Me Up Extra Thick Easter Egg comes with twelve cheery chocolates and I particularly loved that there were two of each so there was no arguing over who got the chocolate fried eggs. Or solid chocolate bunnies. Or caramel chicks. What was I thinking sharing..?! Anyway, as if the smiley face pralines weren’t enough, then came the egg itself. Oh. My. Godfathers. This is called an Extra Thick Easter Egg with very good reason let me tell you! I love that first crack of an Easter egg but cracking into this beauty was really quite something else. Ridiculously thick smooth milk chocolate. It’s fair to say that I was in Easter egg heaven *drools*

Priced at £26.00 I know it’s not cheap BUT I still think that it makes for good value given just how gorgeous it was. The egg itself was spectacularly good and the twelve chocolates were to die for. The packaging was beautiful too as you might expect. From the thick box, black bow and thick gold foil it just screamed luxury. If you are looking for a special treat this Easter, then this would be just perfect.

Disclaimer: I was very kindly sent this amazing egg to try and in the interest of a fair review, I tried my hardest to eat it all in one go but eventually had to admit defeat and eat it over the course of a whole weekend. I know. I work tirelessly for my blog, what can I say? Oh, and all words here are of course my own. That goes without saying.
