With less than a week to go until Cybher, I am well and truly in countdown mode. Is it just me, or does it seem to have come around really quickly all of a sudden? So exciting!
It’s soon enough to be allowed to be tummy flippingly excited about being in the company of so many amazing bloggers but still long enough away that I am not yet panicking over the minor details. Like getting on the wrong train. Or getting lost in London. Or of course forgetting my business cards like last years conference. I know I know! I spent hours and hours designing my cards only to leave them behind in my hotel room. Such a wally.
I really should put my new cards in my handbag right now so that there is no chance of me forgetting them. But of course that would involve me knowing which handbag I would be using on the day. Which of course would suggest that I have a clue about what I’m going to wear. Which I don’t. Although it’s probably looking like jeans at the moment which is only half of my body. The other half? No clue. I will no doubt spend this week making lists that I will lose and ransacking my wardrobe only to go with the first thing that I thought of. But to someone who really really doesn’t get out much, it’s all part of the fun. I absolutely can’t wait!
I’ll be the first to admit that nerves got the better of me at Cybermummy last year and I am determined that this won’t be the case this year. It was the first time that I had ever been away from home since having my babies never mind being in a room with hundreds of over excited bloggers. It was such a huge deal for me in so many ways. But I’m hoping that now I have proved to myself that I am capable of doing things just for me for a change, then it will at least take the edge of the awful nerves that I had last year. In fact, I would go so far to say that right now, I just feel excited not nervous. Although I suspect this may be subject to change. There were so many people that I missed last year, partly because I daren’t go up and say hello. How stupid was that? Not this year, that’s for sure. And if you do see me, please please please say hello! I am terrible for matching up which blogger is which in their human form so feel free to grab me and shove your name badge in my face. Seriously, do!
Of course, I can’t possibly write this without a mention and a HUGE THANK YOU to my lovely sponsors Villa Parade who are making it possible for me to be able to attend Cybher. Oh, and in case you hadn’t heard, they currently have an amazing competition with a villa holiday up for grabs! I know! Make sure you follow them over on Twitter or Facebook to find out more. Go go go!
