..so it’s what I wore
Cream/grey boucle jacket – Next, cream top – H&M, vintage skinny jeans – Next, jewelled ballet flats – Next, watch – Michael Kors, Sweetie bracelet and Sweetie Candy Hearts bracelet – Links of London, nails – Chanel Le Vernis in Pirate
I picked up this boucle jacket in Next in the sale earlier this year. I actually umm-ed and ahh-ed over buying it at the time but it was such a bargain that I bought it anyway and I’m so glad I did, as I’ve worn it to death. In fact so much so, that it’s starting to bobble a little *sniff* I love that the colour is so neutral but the little sparkly threads keep it from being too boring and the soft material make it easier to wear than a structured blazer. I do love me a blazer don’t get me wrong but they can sometimes just feel too dressed up where this is lovely compromise of somewhere in the middle of being a cardigan and a jacket.
These skinny jeans were from Next and I love the vintage wash. I actually wish that I had bought two pairs now because they don’t sell them any more and the colour and fit is just perfect and joy of joys, they don’t go baggy on my knees. I hate jeans shopping it’s always mission impossible for me. I’m sure it shouldn’t be quite so hard to find that perfect pair that don’t cost an arm and a leg. I know that cost per wear, jeans are probably worth spending ridiculous amounts of money on but I just can’t bring myself to do it. So inferior high street jeans for me it is! Ha!
This has accidentally turned into nearly a whole outfit from Next but it’s actually not somewhere that I shop very often. Anyway the ballet flats are yes, you guessed it, from Next too! They are silver with sparkly jewels and my magpie tendencies just couldn’t resist them plus they look great with just about everything. Metallics fall into the same category as animal print for me – strangely neutral despite screaming LOOK AT ME. How does that work? But it really does. Ahem.
