..so it’s what I wore
Rose print dress – Primark, magenta tights – M&S, black Jalouse Spiral boots – Ash, watch – Michael Kors, Candy Sweetie Hearts and Sweetie charm bracelet – Links of London, nails – Clinique Sweet Tooth
Yesterday was a day of being back and forth to school, you can tell that it’s nearly the end of term! In the morning I had a sharing session for my youngest daughter in Year 1 and she got to show me all of her work from this term. Such a lovely chance to see what she’s up to. Then in the afternoon I was invited to visit the smoothie bar set up by Year 3 as part of their healthy eating topic. Terribly sweet idea and my little girl was so excited to see me but man alive, the thought of eating fruit kebabs and smoothies made by 28 grubby seven year olds is not my idea of fun let alone paying for the privilege. I am a terrible terrible mother I know! But all those unwashed hands… ugh! Then just to top it all off, we had what will probably be the very last parents evening for my son in Year 11. His GCSEs are scarily close now eeekk! And breathe!
So yesterday I was mostly wearing a big black coat over said outfit but here it is anyway! Ha! I love this new dress from Primark and in hindsight I should really have saved it for Valentine’s Day what with the pretty rose print and all, never mind! I still can’t decide whether it is dark blue or black but I don’t suppose it matters with the magenta tights. It has pretty little puff sleeves and a proper nipped in waist with a full skirt. Such a lovely shape. And my teenage daughter decreed that it was far too short (it’s really not) so I presume that means that she would like it herself so I’ll take it as a compliment. My teen’s disapproval makes me love it even more of course funny that *snort*
I got this Clinique nail varnish as a freebie in a Bonus Time yonks ago and I actually forgot that I had it. It applies like a dream and this is such a pretty pink colour. Dare I say spring like? Not that I’m ready for spring just yet, I’m still waiting for the snow to make an appearance as mad as that might sound. It just isn’t winter until we’ve seen some snow though!
The thing about doing outfit posts is that it makes me realise that I wear the same old jewellery all the time. You’d be forgiven for thinking that these Sweetie bracelets are surgically attached but I do love them so. I am such a magpie and I have a whole jewellery box full of so many pretty things but yet I pull on the same old bracelets all of the time. Must try harder!
So that was me, what have you been wearing this week?
