..so it’s what I wore
Paisley Print Trophy Biker Jacket – Per Una at Marks and Spencer, plain white tee – H&M, indigo skinny jeans – Boden, silver jewelled ballet flats – Next, watch – Michael Kors, silver necklace – birthday present from my brother
I first spotted this jacket in Marks and Spencer in York a few weeks ago. I had four children in tow who were all s t a r v i n g and we were heading up the escalators to the cafe so there was no time to stop to have a proper look but it being Saturday lunch time, the cafe was of course packed to the brim. What was I thinking. So anyway we came back down the escalators as fast as we went up them and now my poor children were even more s t a r v i n g so I definitely didn’t have time to stop. But as I craned my neck as we whizzed by, I realised that it was in the Per Una section which completely threw me. I swear if you squinted a bit it could pass as Isabel Marant or had I completely lost the plot? I looked at it online later when I got home and actually by this point, I didn’t care if it was more mad aunt than Isabel Marant I loved it! So when we were out shopping for my son’s birthday last week, I hunted it down to try it on and there it was, this lovely little jacket hidden away in a sea of bonkers Per Una frills. It had to be mine.
I’ve worn it today with my Boden skinny jeans and just a plain white tee from H&M. The jacket is quilted but really lightweight so doesn’t feel bulky at all in fact, it’s a really nice fit. I think the biker style makes it more relaxed. I love love LOVE the print which I guess is a bit mad on paper with the grey and white background, tribal embroidery and bright paisley floral patterns. Oh man I am totally dressed like a mad aunt, aren’t I? Don’t answer that by the way!
