Birchbox up for review (plus a very special offer just for you!)

I love Birchbox I really do and couldn’t subscribe fast enough after being sent one to review here on my blog back in February. So I was over the moon when they got back in touch asking if they could send me another box to celebrate this months collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar and not just that, I have a special offer for my lovely readers too!

As you might already know, Birchbox is a subscription service and for just £10 a month, you are sent a box of beauty or lifestyle goodies to enjoy. You can create your own beauty profile online so that the five luxe samples will be tailored just for you. Some products are sample sizes but there are often full sized treats too. You can cancel the rolling subscription at any time, it is totally flexible. You can also earn reward points each month with every box that can then be used on your beauty favourites in the Birchbox eshop. All of the products that are sent out in the boxes are available to buy of course.

So, what is in this months Birchbox I hear you cry? Well, it’s a good ‘un! In fact, probably one of the very best yet I loved it! For starters there is an exclusive Harper’s Bazaar offer of 12 issues for just £12 – saving 76% on the standard cover price which is definitely not to be sniffed at.

Now in the box we have the lifestyle extra of Imedeen Derma One. I’m a big believer in beauty starting from within and these zinc and vitamin C packed supplements tackle anti-aging from the inside. Two tablets a day are the key to skin clarity, elasticity and overall smoothness. We have Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath and Shower Oil which smells absolutely amazing. You just add a capful to your bath or smooth over your body before showering. The Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Mascara comes in a jet black formula and adds both volume and length without a single clump in sight. Then we have a Laura Mercier Face Polish which I was really excited about as I have been meaning to try this and it didn’t disappoint. This creamy scrub has purifying microbeads that cleanse the skin and buff away dead skin cells for truly radiant results. The Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo was a very welcome treat! I honestly couldn’t live without dry shampoo who doesn’t want to get an extra day out of their blowdry? It’s a really lovely lightweight formula too and blended easily leaving my hair looking and feeling refreshed. Then last but by no means least, we have the Soigne Nail Laquer in this gorgeous summery cerise colour.

Inside your Birchbox you also get a Beauty Guide book full of hints and tips and I love that the website is also packed full of reviews, features and tutorials. I love the idea of getting a treat in the post every month and having tried other boxes in the past, can honestly say that Birchbox seem to get the balance of beauty, make-up and lifestyle just right where others don’t always quite hit the mark. Of course not every choice will suit everyone but as somebody that likes to try different products out, I don’t mind that so much if I feel that I am getting overall good value. That said, I loved every single thing in this special May box – I think it was one of the best yet!

Now, how do you fancy a whopping £5 off your first Birchbox? Sign up now using the code BBXYUMMY to receive your exclusive reader discount. It’s as simple as that. Cool, huh? You’re welcome!

Disclaimer: For the purpose of this review I was very kindly sent this May Birchbox free of charge and also provided with the special discount code for my blog readers. All opinions are of course my own. As are the newly radiant skin, perfectly polished nails, swishy hair and fluttering eyelashes.

This was my first box. I hope they are all like this! Glossybox was getting too high street for me, I don’t mind a couple high street items but it seemed to be dominating them. I recently did a review on what I received check it out if you have time 🙂 x
