Birchbox Slimbox up for review

Birchbox remains ahead of the curve for beauty subscriptions this month by launching the option to choose a slimmer box. The new Slimbox will now allow subscribers to opt in for a box that is slim enough to fit through a standard UK letter box. The Slimbox will still contain the same value of samples as the classic Birchbox but the actual box is just 3.5cm high. Such a simple idea to make the box that tiny bit more compact means the service is even more efficient than before. No need to worry about missing the postman, your Birchbox goodies will literally land on your doormat every month for the same great value price of £10 plus £2.95 p&p.

So what is in this months box I hear you cry? It’s another absolute cracker as they celebrate the Birchbox Loves theme. It is February after all!

First of all we have the Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo. I’m a huge fan of Liz Earle products having first discovered them through a Birchbox sample last year. I couldn’t wait to try this shampoo and it is was every bit as gorgeous as I thought it would be giving my hair an incredible shine. I will definitely be treating myself to the full size version through the e-shop once this runs out. Next we have the T London Darjeeling Hand and Body Lotion which is a Birchbox exclusive. This is such a lovely soothing lotion and it smells divine.

The Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum is such a treat. Used after cleansing but before moisturising, you smooth on just a thin layer to leave your skin glowing. I absolutely love Caudalie products they always feel so luxurious. Next we have the Cindy-Lou Manizer from The Balm Cosmetics. This can be used as a highlighter, shimmer or eye shadow and is a handy addition to anybody’s makeup bag. The Cynthia Rowley Eyeliner is yet another Birchbox exclusive. Mine came in black and this creamy formula delivers a bold slick of colour that lasts all day long or can be blended for a smokey look. I’ve never used Cynthia Rowley beauty products before so it’s great to discover such a great brand.

Now last but by no means least we have a great lifestyle extra this month in the form of The Chia Co Oats + Chia sample sachet. This creamy blend of wholegrain oats, chia, fruit and virgin coconut oil is just delicious and it’s super simple too – just add water, stir and enjoy. This will definitely be added to my shopping list it is just lush!

I love Birchbox it is always such a treat and a great mix of beauty, makeup and lifestyle extras. I love getting the chance to try out new to me products but it’s great to find beauty treats from brands that I love each month too. Even better, with the new Slimbox it couldn’t be more convenient being posted straight through my letterbox each month. New subscribers can choose the new Slimbox option when setting up their beauty profile and existing subscribers can switch from February. Will you be making yours a slimline?
