House of Fraser coats and jackets up for review

House of Fraser are very well known for being a retailer of high quality premium brands but they also sell a wide range of stylish lesser known and more affordable brands. So when they got in touch inviting me to take a look at their range of coats and jackets, I was really interested to take a look.

Obviously with us just coming out of January, there are still some sales bargains to be had if you hurry but there was also a huge range of very reasonable full priced coats and jackets. I really was spoilt for choice.

I chose this gorgeous Embellished Boucle Jacket from Miss Selfridge. I have to confess that I probably wouldn’t look in Miss Selfridge usually as it would normally be somewhere that my teenage daughter would shop. But actually, this jacket couldn’t be more me. I guess that is one of the good things about having so many different brands to choose from when shopping online with a department store, you look at things that you might normally be too quick to dismiss.

This blazer style jacket is lovely layered now under my big winter coats but will be perfect when spring is finally here as a lightweight coat. It is made from a beautiful soft boucle material in grey, black and ecru with a really delicate silver sparkle thread. I particularly love the metal edge to edge embellishment though, it really makes it that bit more special. It is also perfect teamed with a simple tee and skinny jeans which is of course my staple mummy uniform. Priced at just £30, I do think that this is exceptionally good value, especially given that I can already see myself wearing it to death because it is just so versatile.

Huge thanks to House of Fraser for sending me this gorgeous jacket to review but for also making me take a closer peek at brands that I might not have looked at otherwise. I will be back!

Disclaimer: As stated within the post this jacket was sent to me free of charge from the lovely people over at House of Fraser. H&M tee and Gap jeans are all my own. As is the gormless smile.
