..so it’s what I wore
Spring is very nearly in the air so it’s hello ankles! And hello last years favourite blazer from Zara! It was actually a birthday present last year and I still absolutely love it. The jeans are a new addition from Gap and are the best stretchy skinnies I have ever found that are still very much jeans not jeggings if that makes sense. These are the ballet flats that I designed with the lovely folk over at Upper Street and I still love them to bits! I purposely chose a very simple and classic design when they were made especially for me and I’m so glad that I did as I’m still enjoying them years later, they really are beautifully made shoes.
I absolutely love dressing for spring (and autumn too in fact) I suppose so called transitional dressing could be seen to be tricky but I love that it is not quite as extreme as winter or summer, even if you don’t always know where you are from one day to the next. The great thing about the whole blazer and skinnies uniform is though is that it is so versatile. You can wear long sleeve tops, basic tees or even vests underneath. Lose the blazer altogether if you get too warm. Add a scarf if it’s a bit chilly. I have even been known to throw my Boden Rainy Day Mac over a blazer for the school run before now. (Best raincoat ever by the way – every mama should have one. I have two I love it so much!) But there is something about the blazer and jeans combo that instantly makes me feel more put together. Like I have made an effort when really I haven’t at all. I’m a big fan of a mummy uniform as I am essentially a very lazy dresser!
So that was me, what have you been wearing this week? Have you dared to flash a bit of ankle yet?
