Barbie Saddle ‘n’ Ride up for review

My youngest two girls are such huge Barbie fans, as was their big sister before them in fact! We were lucky enough to be sent the new Barbie Saddle ‘n’ Ride Horse to review here on my blog and it has been a huge hit!

With Barbie Saddle ‘n’ Ride Horse you really do get to ride off on your own adventure. Watch as Barbie really does ride off on her beautiful brown tawny horse!

You simply clip Barbie’s special gloved hand into her horse’s beautiful mane. Then you can push the button to the side of the horse’s mane and she hops on to the saddle. Or best of all, if you push the button on top of the horse’s brow, Barbie will not only magically lift herself up onto the saddle but the horse will also walk away on its own. Best. Toy. Ever. I shared a little video of it in action over on Instagram if you want to see it go. And it really does go!

Barbie is wearing a lovely equestrian outfit and even comes with her own super safe horse riding helmet and a brush for the horse’s mane. The horse needs batteries (that are not included) but it really is that easy to use. You just press the button and off they go! We found that the horse was a little wobbly on very thick carpet and worked best on our wooden floors. It does work on lower pile carpets too. We’ve tested it out all over the house as you might have gathered!

We have had so much fun playing with this already it really is an amazing toy. I don’t think the novelty of watching Barbie saddle up then ride away will ever wear off – and that’s just with me! Ha! I think it would make a great addition to anyone’s Barbie collection, I’ve never seen a toy do anything like this. As a side note too, obviously only the special Barbie has the glove to be able to hold on then jump up on to the saddle but the horse is the right size for standard Barbies to ride on too if you just pop them on. Even our Ken has had a turn!

Barbie Saddle ‘n’ Ride is available in good toy shops now RRP £49.99. I know that might sound quite expensive but actually I think it is really good value for what is an amazing set including both Barbie and this incredible all singing and dancing (all neighing and galloping?) horse. I honestly can’t recommend this toy enough WE LOVE IT!

Ooh that sounds amazing. My daughter is just starting to get into horses and absolutely loves Barbie, so this would be perfect for her. I will add this to the (already very long) Christmas list
