The lovely people over at Lush sent me the most amazing Mother’s Day gift, I just had to share it with you!
As you can see, the gift arrived very specially wrapped. Forget paper packages tied up with string and hello knot-wrapping! You see, when it comes to gift-wrapping, Lush have adopted the ancient Japanese art of fabric wrapping known as Furoshiki (fur-o-sheeki) to make their gifts look extra thoughtful, exquisitely presented and help to reduce paper waste.
Inside this very special scarf wrapping was a whole bundle of treats just for me in time for a Mother’s Day pamper. Love and Light hand cream, Pumice Power foot soap, Breath of Fresh Air toner water, Pink Peppermint lotion, Full of Grace facial serum, Volcano foot mask and Golden Handshake hot hand mask. My plan is to lock myself in the bathroom at some point over the weekend to try out every single one of them!
Of course, not only does it make thoughtful wrapping but the scarf is absolutely beautiful and can of course be reused, worn or there are even instructions of how to make a head band with it. Such a lovely idea. I have to say that I love this eco-friendly tradition and it will be one that I will be using myself for birthdays to come.
I must just say a huge thank you to Lush Cosmetics for my Mother’s Day treats, I am feeling thoroughly spoilt!
