The French Kitchen Company up for review

One of the best things about my blog is getting to hear about new little gems of businesses and one of my very new discoveries is The French Kitchen Company. It was set up by Charley and Florence, lovers of France, cooking and food. Inspired by their visits to French markets and kitchen shops, they decided to curate the best of their finds in one place et voila – The French Kitchen Company was born.

I was sent this nifty little Garlic Twist to review on my blog and this is one of those gadgets that I now couldn’t live without! It is always the simplest of ideas that are the best, non? Garlic is the most quintessentially French of ingredients of course and this garlic twist makes preparing garlic the French way (chopping rather than crushing) a breeze, preserving all the taste, and wasting nothing.

You simply give the clove of garlic a bash with the outer shell of the Twist to remove the skin. Then place the cloves inside and twist back and forth until it is minced to the desired texture. The little mincing teeth pack the chopped garlic into two triangles and you then simply use a spoon to remove. The unit itself is easy to rinse clean or you can even wash it on the top rack of a dishwasher. It is available in clear, purple or green and costs just £12.50 which is a bargain for such an ingenious bit of kitchen prep kit. I absolutely love it!

The French Kitchen Company offer a whole range of classic kitchen and dining essentials reflecting French style and functionality inspired by French living. They stock classic brands such as Opinel, La Rochère, Le Parfait and Duralex, as well as French Kitchen Company originals and one-off finds. Be warned though, the whole online store is packed to the brim with French gorgeousness and if you are anything like me, you will want at least one of everything!
