What I Wore: The blanket scarf edition

What I Wore Wednesday: The blanket scarf edition (Mostly) Yummy Mummy Blog

Navy jersey dropped waist dress – La Redoute, scarf in Paradise Flowers print – Cath Kidston, navy opaques – Marks and Spencer, Clarks metallic Hamble Oak brogues – c/o Bells Shoes, watch – Michael Kors

There might well be a hint of spring in the air but I’m not quite ready to take off any layers just yet. This simple jersey dress from La Redoute is a huge favourite of mine. In fact, so much so that I bought it in grey too. It’s very plain with a dropped pleated waist but just so easy to wear. La Redoute really are the best when it comes to day dresses I have bought quite a few from there over the last few months. Always really good value too!

I’ve layered the dress today with this gorgeous Cath Kidston scarf. Is it a shawl? Is it a scarf? I don’t know but it feels like wearing a blanket which sounds good to me! I love this Paradise Flowers print it is so bright and cheery. My Dad and stepmum bought me this and the matching bag last year for my birthday and I adore them. Nothing quite like a Cath Kidston print to cheer up the simplest of outfits.

You probably remember these shoes they are the Clarks Hamble Oak brogues that I was sent to review from Bells Shoes and I hardly ever take them off! The dark pewter just matches perfectly with so many outfits and the little ribbon laces are such a nice girly touch. I would buy these in every colour if I could as well as looking gorgeous they are ridiculously comfy too and I don’t care how middle aged that makes me sound! Life is too short (and too busy) for uncomfortable shoes.

So, what have you been wearing this week? Have you dared to take off a layer yet or are you still hiding under a blanket like me?
