Lalalab photo printing up for review (plus £5 discount code just for you!)

I take photos on my iPhone all of the time. And I mean, all of the time. I must have thousands of photos stored away on my phone which is all well and good but there is nothing quite like a real photograph is there? I’m quite old skool in that I like looking back on actual photos. There is something so special about capturing those special moments (and the more ordinary ones too) and those albums will still be knocking about long after my phone is obsolete that is for sure. So when the lovely people over at Lalalab got in touch asking if I would like to give their app a try to print some great moments, I jumped at the chance.

The app itself is free to install and so simple to use. You can create a photobook, calendar, canvas, poster, large prints, postcards, prints, magnets, cases and prints. The prints can be selected in a variety of sizes – vintage (10x12cm) classic (10x10cm) or regular (10x13cm) or you can even gather 36-48 of your favourite photos and have them packaged in a lovely Lalabox which is what I went for. Prices for the Lalabox start at £12.69 for 36 vintage prints.

You simply select the pictures that you want to have printed from Facebook, Instagram or your phone memory – so that is from your camera roll or any albums that you have saved. The app counts the photos for you as you tick to select them so it really couldn’t be easier to use. If you really do have a lot of photos to sift through though, you could even make an album beforehand if that makes it easier so that you can go straight to it.

When you have finished making your selection you have the option to crop, add filters or text captions. The photos can be sent directly to you or even so somebody as a gift and you can add a lovely message. Now you need to have an internet connection to upload your final choices but mine really was done in a flash and then you are ready to checkout. You receive email confirmation of your order and are given an expected date of delivery. My date was within seven days but my Lalabox arrived in less than five.

I was seriously impressed with the service from Lalalab from start to finish. The app is so simple to use and there are so many options to choose from plus the delivery service was excellent and so fast. The photos arrived beautifully packaged in the little box and the quality is absolutely superb. Best of all, all those memories from the last few months – Halloween, Christmas, birthdays, days out – are now right here in my hand not locked away in my phone. Now that truly is priceless.
