Happy Easter from HEMA

I love this time of year I really do. Every year, I seem to sneak more and more Easter decorations into the house but they are just so pretty – I can’t resist! Surviving those dull winter months should be celebrated if you ask me and Easter is the perfect opportunity of course. I was sent some gorgeous Easter goodies from HEMA to add to my ever growing collection and they fit in perfectly. I love them!

I don’t have a special Easter tree, I simply cut branches from the garden and pop them into a vase (or pink butter churn in this case!) I actually prefer the natural look of the branches I think they look so effective when you add your decorations to them. HEMA sent me some gorgeous Easter egg hanging decorations and they work perfectly along with these little chicks on a clip.

Talking of chicks on a clip though, I think they might be breeding because they are popping up all over the house! Nothing says Easter to me quite like these fluffy little retro chicks but being on a clip makes them easy to put anywhere or everywhere!

Of course Easter is not Easter without chocolate eggs and we were sent a bag of these yummy little filled eggs. They were milk chocolate with different fillings inside like caramel, chocolate mousse and crispies. After testing each flavour *ahem* we put some aside to decorate some Easter nests. We melted some chocolate and added some of the Easter marshmallows we were sent to make the mixture extra gooey before stirring in the rice crispies to make the nests. (Top tip for you there – it words a treat honestly!) Then we popped an egg on each one. The cake stand was from HEMA too it’s so cute! And it was a lovely way to display our cakes for the whole ten minutes that they lasted! Ha!

HEMA is a fabulous Dutch retailer that has started to open stores in the UK which include Kingston, Bromley, London Victoria, Birmingham and London Stansted Airport. If sadly like me you don’t have a store nearby, everything is available online too including their fab Easter range. They offer an amazing range of products though from homeware, kids clothing and toys, crafts and hobbies, confectionery and cosmetics. It’s such a little treasure trove of a shop I love it! Do check it out!

Disclaimer: I was very kindly gifted these Easter goodies from HEMA but all words and opinions here are my own. I absolutely love HEMA and wanted to share this with you because I thought you might love them too!
