Veggetti 2.0 from JML up for review

Eating healthily as a family is really important to me but I’m a big believer that doing so doesn’t have to be time consuming, expensive or unnecessarily complicated. I am always on the look out for anything that can make that task easier so when JML got in touch asking if I would like to try out the new Veggetti 2.0 I was really excited to give it a try.

The Veggetti 2.0 is the new and really easy to use spiralizer that can create a range of healthy and delicious vegetable dishes in seconds. Be warned though, after using it once if you are anything like me, you will then want to spiralize anything and everything in sight. It really is very addictive! For me, healthy eating isn’t about taking away food, it is all about adding more of the good stuff and a spiralizer is probably the easiest (and funnest!) way to pack those yummy vegetables into every meal.

It uses a stainless steel dual cutting blade and it’s so simple and easy to use. You just place the vegetable in the top and twist it. It’s just like using a pencil sharpener I was really surprised at just how easy it was. It makes light work of things like cucumber or courgette but also tough root vegetables like sweet potatoes or celeriac. Perfect spiralized vegetables every time.

The Veggetti has two different settings so you can choose from thin or thick ribbons so perfect to eat as ‘noodles’ or for things like homemade rostis. I’ve used it on all sorts of veg from carrots and squash to potatoes and cucumber. Switching pasta for courgette works brilliantly with things like a bolognese sauce or as an alternative to spaghetti or noodles in all kinds of dishes. I’ve used it for Asian style salads and stir fries too. The uses really are endless I wouldn’t be without it now! When I shared a picture on Instagram the other week of my Veggetti in action, somebody said that they had used theirs to spiralize a whole cucumber and ended up with 5ft long noodles! Now that I have got to try – just because I can! Ha!

I was impressed with just how little waste there was too. It comes with a type of lid that holds the vegetable safely in place so you can spiralize every last bit without risking losing a finger. You end up with what can be best described as a small triangle like the end of a pencil but other than that, there is no real mess or waste. Plus, it can even go in the dishwasher when you are done. It couldn’t be easier to use I love it. The Veggetti 2.0 is available now from JML Direct priced at just £11.99 which is really great value for such a nifty little kitchen gadget. I can’t recommend it enough!

A pasta-addict friend of mine has just told me she’s lost a lb a day since she started spiralising! 😮 I’m using mine to get extra vegetables into a toddler. She has no idea that ‘green spaghetti’ is so good for her, and she loves it!
