..so it’s what I wore
Wildlife Ditsy dress from Cath Kidston, silver sandals from H&M, watch from Michael Kors and nails in Chiltern Park by Nails Inc Gel One Coat
You might remember that I won a competition a couple of months ago and the prize was a shopping spree in Cath Kidston? So basically my dream come true! Ha! And this is one of the dresses that I treated myself to. I am such a huge Cath Kidston fan and every year I try and add another dress to my collection but because it is usually such a rare treat, I go for the big bold iconic prints before they disappear again. But winning the competition prize meant that I could quite literally have my pick of all the dresses in the store so I could take my time and look at every single dress. (That day was like all birthdays had come at once. Seriously.) Anyway, I chose this Wildlife Ditsy print dress which is so different from the style of dresses that I would normally buy from there but I love it. Absolutely love it. It feels like it was made for me. The print is so pretty and the dress itself feels so delicate with the gentle pleating and embroidered edging.
This is actually the first time that I have worn these silver sandals from H&M and I’m not sure about them. I like the look of them and it’s so handy to have a pair of metallic sandals as they go with absolutely everything but the style doesn’t sit quite right on my feet I don’t think. I don’t know how to describe it but they feel a bit, well, flappy. I think I’m so used to stomping around in my Birkenstocks or Saltwaters that something this delicate might take a little getting used to.Or they might be heading to the charity bag by the end of the day. We’ll see!
My nails haven’t been painted in anything but this Nails Inc colour for weeks now! It came as a sample in a summer beauty box from Marks and Spencer and I have been wearing it on my fingers and toes ever since. It applies perfectly in one coat which is always a bonus. Who has time for anything more than that? I mean come on! But I’ve found that it is really long lasting too with a top coat of Leighton Denny Crystal Finish. These nails are at least 5 days old now (if not 6 actually I have lost track) so they are not freshly-painted-perfect but there isn’t a chip in sight. I didn’t know that I needed a summer nail colour until I found this but it is here to stay in all it’s bright corally red gorgeousness.
