September is the time to step it up, tick off your to-do list and get organised after a fun summer – it is back to school season after all! So, for a little motivation through darker evenings, Birchbox are celebrating heroic women who inspire us all with the launch of their inspiration gallery. You can find out more here about how to nominate your hero and how you can both win amazing prizes. In the meantime, this month’s box is packed with heroic beauty must-haves – from iconic brands to problem solving cult favourites, you won’t know what you did before discovering them!

Now first of all as you can see this month’s Birchbox is actually has a nifty little pull out drawer design. Perfect for storing beauty products on your dressing table or anything else of course! I love that the boxes themselves are always so pretty I reuse them for all sorts of storage.

Inside the box we have five amazing products this week. First of all is the Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray. This lightweight spritz is a styling superstar – volumising, smoothing and texturing all in one. Sea buckthorn berry oil contains nourishing antioxidants to strengthen and repair damage too. Next is the Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil which I was so excited to try as I am a huge fan of the iconic Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. My daily shower just got a whole lot more luxurious thanks to this skin-softening oil and it smells gorgeous.

Next we have the Starskin Eye Catcher that brightens the delicate skin around your eyes. This bio-cellulose mask is infused with vitamin-rich coconut juice and brightening licorice root extract to instantly brighten, smooth and de-puff. Then we have the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Blemish-Less. The appearance of midday shine can totally disrupt your look but this water based gel holds your base in place for longer, controlling breakthrough shine and helps hide pores and blemishes too. And last but by no means least we have the ModelCo Highlighting Trio which is a full size product. Blend this trio using your fingertips on to cheekbones, brow bones and eyelids for an instant glow.

As always, a subscription to Birchbox costs just £10 (plus £2.95 p&P) and you will receive five personalised beauty treats each month. If you sign up today, there is a full-sized make-up product in every September box.
