Lalaloopsy Babies Potty Surprise up for review

We have quite a few Lalaloopsy dolls, my youngest two are big fans. So you can imagine their delight when we were asked to review the new Potty Surprise doll. They natter me every single time the advert for this new Lalaloopsy comes on television!

The doll is from the Lalaloopsy Babies range but she is still a big doll at about 30cm high. We’ve not had a ‘baby’ doll before but I was pleased to see just how big she was and she fits right in with our other standard Lalaloopsy dolls. She comes dressed in a nappy, bib and dummy which is handily attached by a little ribbon. The set also comes complete with a potty, bowl, spoon and three pots of shaping sand (non-edible food!)

So of course the real fun with this doll is in what she does and as you might have gathered, it involves pooping in a potty. If your children are anything like mine, this will be the funniest thing ever! You take some of the shaping sand and feed the doll using the little bowl and spoon. The spoon actually acts as a measure as filled to the top, it is exactly the right amount needed to create the poop. The sand moulds to the spoon then you tip it into her mouth for her to eat it. There is a dial on her back that you twist to select a shape, then you sit her on the potty and with a turn of her belly button, she poops out the food in the shape of a button, heart, flower or star.

What I love about this doll is that you can feed her over and over again as the sand can be reused. The little pots even come with lids so it doesn’t dry out. The doll itself wasn’t as messy as I thought it might be either. Everything just comes out into the potty. We had the odd poop that wasn’t perfect in shape but I think that is down to either not feeding her the right amount or maybe not twisting the dial hard enough but it certainly didn’t spoil our fun. My daughters are eight and ten and they were plenty old enough to know how to feed her properly but I suppose it might be something that younger kids would need help with. It really isn’t that tricky though once you’ve done it a couple of times.

Lalaloopsy Babies Potty Surprise doll is priced at £29.99 and is available from all good toy retailers now as part of the new autumn range this year. It gets a huge thumbs up from us we have had hours of fun with this doll! You can find out more at lalaloopsy.co.uk

Putting this in Iris’s Christmas list! Anything that poos is currently hilarious to her, plus she loves dolls and she’s potty training. Perfect! Thanks for the heads up!
