Birchbox x Tatler up for review

This November, Birchbox have collaborated with Tatler magazine on this gorgeously designed party-season-centric box which is perfect for all the parties and gatherings the festive season will bring. The fabulous team at Tatler have curated this edit of products featuring not one but two make-up products. There is also an exclusive offer to subscribe to Tatler for just £12 for 12 issues plus a chance to win the ultimate party beauty bundle worth over £250. (I took out a subscription to Tatler on the last collaborative box they did over a year ago and I must admit that at that price, I’m tempted to sign up again!)

The box itself is gorgeous this month with an amazing peacock feather design. I’m also loving the drawer style boxes as they are perfect for using on my desk or dressing table. Just so much handier than the standard boxes. Anyway, enough rambling I’m sure you want to know what is inside the actual box, eh?

First up we have the Darphin Rose Aromatic Care which is the perfect treat for your skin during the rush of the party season. Just a few drops massaged into your face and neck each night will leave your skin feeling nourished and looking radiant. And it smells gorgeous! Next we have the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer which I have to confess, I was a little dubious about. A lip primer? Do we really need a lip primer? But having tried it I can safely say yes we do! You just apply the tiniest dot before lipstick and trust me, that colour isn’t going anywhere! It keeps your lipstick in place while hydrating and nourishing your lips and making your colour look more vibrant. You can even wear it on its own to keep your lips soft and smooth if lipstick isn’t your thing.

Next we have the full size Wet Brush which makes light work of combing through unruly hair thanks to its super thin, strong and flexible bristles. It’s really gentle on the scalp yet tough enough to fight tangles. Great size for keeping in your handbag too. Then we have the Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse which I love. I don’t think I have tried a Nuxe product that I didn’t fall in love with to be fair but this anti-fatigue moisturising cream really is the bee’s knees. And last but by no means least we have the High Definition Brow Define which is another full size product. This pencil is enriched with waxes to help it glide on to perfect brows in a flash.

I have to say that this has been my favourite Birchbox in a while. It is always such a lovely treat to have a box of beauty goodies arrive in the post each month anyway but it feels like a particularly luxurious edit this month. I love every single thing and it’s always nice to try out new products (and especially so when we are treated to not one but two full size treats in one box!) You can subscribe to Birchbox for just £10 a month (plus £2.95 p&p) and if you join in November, you will receive a free full size bbrowbar mascara worth £18 (see terms and conditions here)

Disclaimer: For the purpose of this review I was kindly sent a press sample of this months Birchbox but I would only ever recommend a product or service that I hand on heart truly love (and I hand on heart truly love Birchbox) You can find out more on my work with me page.

I usually get the same things as you, but got some totally different ones this time! I did get the wet brush though, which was good timing because I was planning to buy a new handbag brush this week!
