Birchbox x Ohh Deer up for review

Birchbox subscription up for review on top UK lifestyle blog Mostly Yummy Mummy

This month, Birchbox have teamed up with one of my very favourite stationery brands Ohh Deer to celebrate all that sets you apart from the crowd with their stand tall theme. As you can see, the box itself is beautiful this month I absolutely love it! There is a great interview with Chloe Hall who is the artist behind this month’s box if you want to take a look here.

So, what’s inside January’s Birchbox? First up is the Paul & Joe Beauty Moisturising Foundation Primer which keeps your makeup in place while waving goodbye to dry patches. I am such a sucker for cute packaging but just look at that gorgeous little bottle! Next is the Lord & Berry Blusher Crayon which is a full size product and a Birchbox exclusive. I have several Lord & Berry lip crayons that I absolutely love so I was really excited to give this blusher a try. You simply scribble it on to the apples of your cheeks then blend with your fingertips. It couldn’t be easier to apply and gives a really nice instant flush of colour.

Then we have the Afterspa Amazing Makeup Remover which I have to admit I was a little dubious about as you simply use it with water. No lotions, potions, oils or balms, just this cloth and water. But do you know what? It works. I’m completely won over. Obviously for hygiene purposes the cloth should be washed after each use, like you would with any other face cloth or muslin. But it is supposed to last for up to 1000 washes so watch this space! Next is the Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner which promises to stay put from the morning school run to your evening dinner plans with no touch ups required. It is long-lasting, smudge-resistant and waterproof. Mine came in a lovely charcoal shade too making it much more wearable than jet black I love it. And last but by no means least is the Thermaliv Night Cream which is brimming with sea chamomile to boost collagen production and vitamin E to soothe. It leaves skin looking plump, nourished and well rested come morning, even if you didn’t manage to catch a full nights sleep.

Plus inside each box this month there is a gorgeous sheet of quirky stickers and also a special discount code for 20% off at ohh.deer.com and 50% off your first Papergang box.

I love every single product in this month’s box and it felt like a little ray of sunshine on what was a very grey Monday morning when this arrived. I’m a big believer in kickstarting the new year by doing things that make you happy and I can’t think of a better time to treat yourself by subscribing to Birchbox in January! As always, subscriptions cost just £10 (plus £2.95 p&p) per month and you will receive five personalised beauty treats, with every subscriber receiving a full size Lord & Berry product this January. If you subscribe now, you will also get a free Pop Eyeshadow Trio and a Spectrum Brush (terms and conditions apply) What are you waiting for?!

*For the purpose of this review I was kindly sent a free press sample of this month’s Birchbox but I would only ever recommend a product or service that I hand on heart truly love (and I hand on heart truly love Birchbox!)
