Imagine the chocolate you loved as a child, but reimagined for grown ups… Well that is exactly what The Grown Up Chocolate Company* has to offer and I was very kindly sent some bars to try out for myself. So while the kids argued over their leftover Easter eggs, I tucked into my own secret stash of goodies. I would have shared but the box clearly states that they are strictly for grown ups so what could I do except the eat the lot myself? Ahem.
The Grown Up Chocolate company is on a mission to create the most indulgent and decadent chocolates, reminiscent of the chocolate we enjoyed as children. With unashamedly indulgent creations like Very Naughty Nutty Nougat, Glorious Coconut Hocus Pocus, Superb Salted Peanut Caramel, Crunchy Praline Chocolate Wonder Bar and more, there really is something for everyone.
Each box contains two bars so you can enjoy one now and save another for later, or even share if you must. With so many amazing flavours to choose from they would quite honestly be wasted on children. They are so much more than just another chocolate bar and are a perfect little package of indulgence. The bars are handmade in Harlow using only the highest quality ingredients and are unashamedly luxurious.
If I was forced to choose a favourite from the flavours I was sent I think it would have to be the Superb Salted Peanut Caramel Bar. I can’t resist salted caramel anything but this really was superb. Think sumptuous salted caramel enveloping a row of peanuts on a bed of peanut praline encased in thick milk chocolate. Heaven in a box. That said, it was a very hard to choose one favourite as I loved them all, each offered something a little different but all offered a truly indulgent treat.
The Grown Up Chocolate Company bars are priced at £2.25 and available at Booths, Ocado and other selected stores or you can also buy online at thegrownupchocolatecompany.co.uk but remember, these are strictly for grown ups so keep it from the kids!
*For the purpose of this review I was kindly provided with press samples of The Grown Up Chocolate Company bars but I would only ever recommend a product that I hand on heart truly love (and I hand on heart truly love The Grown Up Chocolate Company with a cherry on top!)
